Versatile, Dependable, Durable
Imagine walking into work tomorrow with one less worry. One less area of your facility will require extra attention. There's no need to worry if your colleagues are safe, and you can actually work on improving your end product or profitability rather than spend time putting out fires (or replacing valves needlessly) - we'll stop short of putting you in a red cape and calling you a hero, but you could put an 'S' on your chest when you install a 60 Series Ball Valve from Swagelok® for the first time.
All Ball Valves are the Same. Right?
While it's true that all ball valves share certain common characteristics, we've designed the 60 Series Ball Valve with some very unique and effective leak-tight features. Continue reading or watch a quick video below to see just what we did to make this ball valve different from a traditional ball valve.
Robust Seat Seal
This is accomplished by combining reinforced PTFE with additional seat support and a coned-disc spring. Which allows for a leak tight design even in low pressure situations.
Reliable Stem Seal

This is achieved by a two-piece chevron packing live-loaded with Belleville springs to create a robust stem and bonnet seal. As an axial load is applied from the stem nut, it is transmitted radially along the entire length of the packing to the stem resulting in low actuation torque, leading to longer cycle life and lower actuation torques as compared to a traditional design.
Blow Out Proof Stem
The 60 Series Ball Valve employs a stem that is assembled from the bottom which prevents stem blowout.
High-Strength Stem Bearings
Located between the stem shank and the body, the high-strength stem bearings are designed to ensure smooth operation and long service life.
Grounding Spring
This provides a consistent ground to avoid any static build up during operation and use.
Special Applications
The 60 series also offers options for all welded valves, chlorine service, low temperature, rapid cycle, steam, thermal, fire, and steam trap test assembly.
